Expertise

JoAnna Tamarazzo

Founder | Communications, Marketing & Fitness Professional

A career built around people, creativity, service, movement, and the power of a good story.

JoAnna Tamarazzo's professional journey did not begin with a traditional marketing title. It began with people.

Her early career in bridal gave her a foundation in sales, hospitality, customer service, relationship building, and understanding what people need during some of the most important moments of their lives. During her years with David's Bridal, she consistently earned Circle of Excellence recognition and reached top sales rankings, developing the communication, leadership, and client-experience skills that would continue to shape everything she built.

But creativity was always part of the picture.

What began with bridal, service, and sales gradually expanded into photography, events, social media, marketing, and storytelling. As she began photographing local celebrations, businesses, families, and community moments, JoAnna discovered that photography could become more than a creative outlet—it could become a way to help people and businesses tell their stories.

That evolution led to the creation of JT Collective Media, where photography, content creation, social media strategy, event coverage, and brand storytelling came together. Her portfolio describes the first local photography work as the catalyst that ultimately inspired her to return to school and pursue communications more deeply.

Fitness Became Another Chapter

Fitness entered her story in a similarly personal way.

JoAnna became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer in 2024 and began developing her work in personal training, wellness education, and community fitness. She trains clients privately in Westchester and has continued expanding her knowledge through additional wellness education, including yoga. Her fitness work is rooted in helping people build confidence, understand movement, and create sustainable habits—not simply completing a workout.

Her experience in fitness also gave her another perspective on leadership: how to help people become better at what they do. That has included taking on leadership and training responsibilities within the fitness environment itself.

Then She Went Back to School

Rather than continuing to build marketing strategies only for other people, JoAnna decided to go deeper.

She returned to Mercy University to formally study Communications & the Arts, graduating with her B.S. in 2026. Her education included marketing, social media strategy, content creation, narrative storytelling, photography, video and audio production, and digital communications. While at Mercy, she gained additional hands-on experience as a social media content creator, photographer, writer, and multimedia storyteller.

Her academic work was closely connected to real-world experience. She worked with Mercy's social media ecosystem, photographed athletics and campus events, contributed to The Impact, and developed a portfolio that combined communications education with actual content and marketing work. She was also recognized with the 2026 Quill Awards and received the Advertising Club of Westchester Spring 2026 Scholarship.

And That Led to Explore Eastchester

In 2023, JoAnna launched Explore Eastchester NY Media with a simple idea: highlight the local businesses and people that make the community special.

That idea has grown into a community media platform serving Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Bronxville, Scarsdale, and Lower Westchester, with storytelling spanning local businesses, restaurants, nonprofits, first responders, wellness professionals, events, photography, and community life. Stephen Bryson later joined the platform as Director of Photography, expanding the visual storytelling side of the organization.

Today, JoAnna brings all of those chapters together.

Bridal taught her how to serve people.
Sales taught her how to communicate.
Leadership taught her how to build teams.
Hospitality taught her how to create experiences.
Fitness taught her how to help people move forward.
Photography taught her how to see.
Mercy University taught her how to communicate it with strategy.
And Explore Eastchester gave her a place to bring it all together.

Where She Is Now

Today, JoAnna works at the intersection of communications, marketing, photography, fitness, hospitality, and community engagement.

Through Explore Eastchester NY Media, she leads marketing, communications, social media, partnerships, and community storytelling.

Through her creative work, she continues photographing businesses, events, people, and meaningful moments.

Through personal training and wellness, she continues helping individuals build strength, confidence, and healthier relationships with movement.

And through her continued professional development, she continues asking the same question that has guided her career from the beginning:

How can I use what I know to help someone else move forward?

Her answer has never been just one career.

It has become a collection of experiences—people, movement, creativity, communication, and community—brought together with purpose.

Create. Collaborate. Cultivate.

This is where JoAnna is now: building what comes next while bringing every chapter of her journey with her.
